Our Mission

At North Charleston POPS!, our mission is to inspire, engage, and connect our community through the power and joy of live music. 

From our musicians and guest artists to our board, volunteers, and audiences, we’re united by a shared belief: live music is for everyone. 

A North Charleston POPS! concert is more than a show. It’s an uplifting experience filled with energy, emotion, and the unexpected. We perform popular music of all kinds—Broadway, Funk, movie scores, jazz, rock, and more—paired with the full sound and power of a professional orchestra. It’s a night out like no other.

We bring this same spirit beyond the stage through our PopsKids program, which provides music education and outreach for elementary and middle school students in Title One schools throughout the Lowcountry. PopsKids offers after-school music lessons, summer camps, performance opportunities, in-school music enrichment, and youth-focused programs designed to inspire creativity and confidence.

Through both our signature concerts at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center and our free Jazz in the Park outdoor series at the scenic Riverfront Park, we’re building community, one note at a time—right here in the heart of North Charleston.
